Instagram Heads to Facebook with Vitrue’s Latest Module
Vitrue, maker of enterprise software for social media campaigns, announced the launch of the new Instagram Tab module, an industry first that allows marketers to seamlessly integrate images into Instagram Facebook pages.
Vitrue offers a scalable and secure cloud-based social marketing solution, which enables brands the full potential of marketing on Facebook, Twitter, Google+, YouTube and new platforms.
The Instagram Tab module gives marketers the opportunity to smoothly take Instagram photos into Facebook pages for posting. Vitrue’s Instagram Tab module is embedded in the Facebook page and automatically pulls Instagram content to the tab view. There the user-friendly layout also has features engagement buttons for liking, commenting on and sharing an image.
The news comes after the Pinterest Vitrue SRM, which operates similarly to Instagram but for Pinterest’s image-centric pinboards. Vitrue also provides advanced analysis capabilities, including providing detailed reports. The Pinterest Tabs module integrates a brand’s Pinterest account into their Facebook environment, which makes it easier for consumers to toggle between the two accounts and see what the business is offering.
“New social platforms, like Pinterest and Instagram, will continue to emerge and capture consumers’ attention,” said Reggie Bradford, CEO and Founder, Vitrue. “The increasing popularity of these types of platforms underscores the importance of visually engaging content. It is critical for brands to place this type of content not only within their Facebook community, but among new key platforms as well. With Vitrue, brands can now enhance their Facebook experience by leveraging Instagram’s photos and ultimately increase social engagement and reach.”
Instagram announced this month at SXSW that its platform is now used by 27 million people, 12 million more compared to December 2011, which represents an increase of 45 percent in just three months. With news of Instagram finally coming to Android, users are anxious to be the first on the list for Instagram’s official Android app. See here for more details, along with a brief history of Instagram’s evolution.
“Our goal is to simplify social marketing efforts for our clients, while keeping them way ahead of the curve for optimal success. We accomplish this by providing a superior product coupled with superior strategic support. This latest enhancement is just another way we deliver on that promise,” said Bradford.
The SRM platform also integrated with Twitter recently, allowing brands the ability to screen or gate potential Twitter followers. The new enhancement helps brands to authorize access to Twitter followers through a seamless and instant screening capability.
Social collaboration platform tools
Having an integrated application with Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and other outlets can be very helpful for growing a brand’s presence, as this further extends the name of a given company with additional points of interaction. Every day more brands are taking advantage of these social networks and their ability to better engage consumers.
One of the most popular photo-sharing services on the market, Instagram, is the top grossing iPhone app for photo uploading.
Instagram also announced collaboration with Hipstamatic that will allow users of both platforms to share photos between them. The partnership helps structure Instagram as a social networking platform, and eventually an ad network.
Facebook is also heady on photo-related updates. Last week Facebook rolled out new improvements for album management, including increasing the maximum resolution for pictures to 2048 pixels.
