Enkitec’s Sumneva Acquisitions Means Enhanced Big Data Solutions

When it comes to realizing the potential of Big Data, clients need new technologies, tools and approaches. After several years of collaboration, Enkitec, an Oracle-centric IT solutions consulting firm, has acquired Sumneva, an Oracle Application Express (APEX) firm to offer enhanced data solutions to clients. Two of Sumneva’s proprietary products, now called eFramework and eSERT will become part of Enkitec’s offerings.

Sumneva’s proprietary software development methodology and tools are used exclusively with Oracle APEX. eFramework is an APEX-based security framework that helps manage and monitor multiple applications. eSERT assists with targeting potential weaknesses in application security and offers suggestions for mitigation.

Sumneva co-founder Doug Gault finds the acquisition beneficial to Oracle clients: “By combining Enkitec’s database, big data and mission critical support solutions with Sumneva’s expertise in the APEX space, we can offer a comprehensive consulting resource to the technical market. We’re tremendously excited by the opportunities this acquisition presents us for developing powerful, complete, and easy-to-use application solutions for all Oracle users.”

According to Wade Nicolas President and co-founder of Enkitec, the company now forecasts a major profit boost: “The Sumneva acquisition brings additional intellectual property to Enkitec that will be a big boost to our application development practice. Revenues for this business unit should double in the next eighteen months.” Sumneva co-founder Scott Spendolini, shares the benefits the acquisition brings to his company: “Joining forces with Enkitec will enable us to provide a complete spectrum of Oracle solutions for a variety of industries and company structures. The association will also enable us to leverage our product offerings with more Fortune 100 corporations.”
