Promising a Groundbreaking Integrated Solution, Storyteller Is Not for Kids
Sparkart, a technology and web media consulting group based in Oakland and Nashville, now joins the ranks of those making life easier for developers with its forthcoming tool to make content integration from various sites simpler and quicker. With basic skills in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, developers can use Storyteller to forego the tediousness of manual integration, to share content from various platforms like Facebook, Pinterest, YouTube, Tumblr, Bandcamp and thousands others outside of traditional CMS platforms.
Having worked with high-profile clients like Microsoft, Mariah Carey, Bon Jovi and The Killers, Sparkart created their new product, Storyteller, to address their own tech challenges. CEO Naveen Jain explains to Molly McHugh of Digital Trends: “There are so many awesome new services launching daily and it’s a pain to make them work without our product. We built it internally as something to help us be more nimble as an agency, and now we’re launching…”
The current web development approach requires coders to manually integrate with each site’s API individually and wait for their content management systems to add or update a plug-in. Once a new platform is integrated, site managers still have to monitor its changes over time. According to TechCrunch’s Anthony Ha, Storyteller’s community and commerce-driven site development platform, will relieve the developer of the “heavy lifting.”
Storyteller is not a replacement to old platforms as it can be used with any publishing product with an API; it’s a tool to showcase and manage content, not create it. Storyteller’s available developer tools include a user-friendly code editor and auto reload service that makes coding a responsive Website easier, allowing developers to view changes in real time across multiple connected devices.
