SmartWatch Wars : Microsoft Re-Joins the Fray

SPOT watches, smartwatch, smart watch, Microsoft, wearable smart devicesEver feel like enough is not ‘enough’? If the current market trend for smart devices is any indicator, we as consumers may never be satisfied. Research firm Gartner expects the market for wearable smart electronics to be a $10 billion industry by 2016. Smartwatches fit right into the wearable smart electronics market, and Microsoft is throwing its hat into the ring. The market is starting to get crowded with Apple’s iWatch and Samsung’s S-Watch, both set to release soon.

This morning we hear from SiliconANGLE’s Contributing Editor John Casaretto about Microsoft’s Smartwatch and what other wearable computing devices that are currently in the works. I expect John to talk about how this isn’t Microsoft’s first attempt at a smartwatch, and possibly even get some insight into the potential specs of such a device.

See Casaretto’s full segment below.
