Cisco made news yesterday with its announcement of new services for storage area networks (SANs) that aim to deliver higher performance, scalability and reliability. There are two new offerings: the Cisco MDS 9710 Multilayer Director and the Cisco MDS 9250i Multiservice Fabric Switch. Both are fairly significant upgrades to the Cisco’s storage networking portfolio, and Cisco is hedging its bets on “better late than never” to the 16gigabit fiber channel.
On today’s Live NewsDesk Show with Kristin Feledy (see live stream below) we’ll be hearing from Wikibon Senior Analyst Stu Miniman. How does Cisco’s offering compare to the competition? What about the partners, how does Cisco plan to bring this to market? Does he see this announcement causing a shift in the market?
THANK YOU
