LIVE: Zynga Monthly User Continue to Decline – Can It Find Success on Mobile?

Zynga isn’t your Zynga of two years ago. On their earnings call, Zynga reported 253 million monthly active users, which is down from the nearly 300 million MAUs the company reported as of last earnings. A stat that is worth noting even more is that Zynga’s daily active users (DAUs) are at 52 million, an all-time low for the company. So how are they doing in the mobile arena, are those numbers down too? Yep. Zynga’s recent mobile active users count is at 65 million. That’s down from the 72 million MAU reported last quarter. MAU, DAU, AAU (All Active Users…I just made up that acronym) are all down. Zynga is bleeding users and we’ve yet to see if Founder, CEO & CPO Mark Pincus and crew can right the Zynga ship.

On today’s Live NewsDesk Show with Kristin Feledy (see live stream below) we’ll be hearing from SiliconANGLE’s Senior Editor Kristen Nicole. What does the decline in MAU and DAU mean for Zynga short-term? What does it speak to about the company’s long-term viability? Is Zynga finding any success on mobile? Is Draw Something 2 a last-ditch effort to save the investment in OMG POP from a year ago?
