Yesterday at Apple’s Worldwide Developer’s Conference in San Francisco, CEO Tim Cook unveiled a completely redesigned iOS 7 operating system for the iPhone and iPad.  On today’s SiliconANGLE Live NewsDesk Show, (see live feed below or visit youtube.com/siliconangle to watch on-demand), we hear from SiliconANGLE Web Producer Mark Zamora, who’s had a firsthand look at iOS 7.

With a noticeably flatter design and a revamped app experience, iOS 7 looks to be a promising upgrade to the iOS experience.  This is the first major re-design of iOS since the launch of the iPhone five years ago.

The updated operating system will be available to the public this fall, but developers have early access to iOS 7 in order to prepare for its consumer-facing launch.  This is Apple’s chance to make its appeal to the developer community, which has been highly critical of Apple lately.  The matter of Apple’s closed ecosystem is already raising questions over the iRadio launch, and the world will be quick to compare iOS 7 to the most recent version of Android, Jellybean 4.2.
