Apple will be revealing the new iPhone in a few hours. If rumors are to be believed, it will be the first time Apple will be unveiling two iPhones. The first one will be the high-end version expected to still look like the iPhone 5, alongside an inexpensive version will be encased in plastic instead of glass and metal.
No matter what Apple reveals, Fanboys will surely camp out in line to be among the first to purchase the new iPhone. But what will the new iPhone have to entice iPhone owners to upgrade, and non-iPhone owners to purchase it?
There have been a lot of rumors regarding the specs of this new iPhone so let’s check out which new features would be so awesome that consumers would line up overnight.
Fingerprint scanner
In this day and age when security and privacy have become such huge issues, it’s nice to know that Apple is on top of it. Having a fingerprint scanner would fortify Apple’s offered security, because, let’s be honest, a 4-digit passcode doesn’t offer much security.
And it would be cool, and easier, to be able to unlock your phone by just swiping your thumb on the scanner. Unlike facial recognition, which would cause problems if your face is not angled correctly, your fingerprint is unlikely to suddenly transform into an unrecognizable pattern.
iOS 7
iOS 7 brings a lot of Android-like features to the iPhone, but aside from that, it also brings another layer of security. When you lose or misplace your iPhone, aside from being able to find it, you can now make it harder for others to use your phone.

Disabling Find My iPhone, erasing the device’s data, and restoring would all require entering your Apple ID and password. This would render the device unusable for thieves. You can erase your iPhone’s content when it gets lost or stolen, and have your iPhone programmed to display a custom message, like your contact details, even after erasing your phone’s data.
Gold delight
Some people want some bling in their life so having a champagne gold-colored iPhone would be really appealing to people with classy taste. Not that the iPhone needs a lot of accessories, it’s already classy all on its own, but having a color option other than black and white sure is refreshing.
Higher camera resolution
The iOS 7 will have new camera features, like being able to put some filters on and some editing feats, but that won’t mean much if the camera itself is crappy. Good thing Apple upgraded the iSight camera from 8MP to 12MP. It will also feature a new dual-LED rear-camera flash, which means taking photos in the dark will no longer be a frustrating act. Photos will be sharper, and if you add filters, you will no longer have to rely on photo editing apps to make your photos perfect or more dramatic.
Sharper display
The iPhone 5 has a 4” Retina display with 1136×640 pixel resolution, but that doesn’t quite compare to the 5” displays with 1080p resolution. Now, Apple has found a way to make the display better, not by making it bigger, but using Retina+Sharp IGZO display with 1080p Full HD resolution. Because why make a bigger phone when you can do something with the display without having to alter the size of the device?
Though people go for devices with bigger displays, it’s not really comfortable to use. So by not changing the size, Apple is still able to please people who are looking for sharper screen resolution.
