Bottlenose Visualizes Twitter Firehose Trends with Sonar Solo

Delivering on its commitment to freemium analytics, Bottlenose is rolling out a free version of its newly announced Nerve Center solution for processing streaming data. The startup is filling a much-needed gap in information rights as consumers increasingly expect – and demand – visibility into their personal data exhaust.

Unveiled today at the Pivot Conference in New York, Sonar Solo marries technology from partner Lexalytics with the homegrown algorithms baked into Nerve Center to help users dynamically unwrap social data. The tool lets you drill down into trends and influencers in near real time via a visual interface that displays sentiment indicators such as citation volumes and the tweet velocity of a given term or topic.

Nova Spivack, the co-founder and CEO of Bottlenose, noted that “we wanted everyone to experience the power of Sonar’s real-time trend intelligence visualization, without restricting it to our large enterprise customers. Now, anyone with internet access can search for anything from their favorite celebrities to breaking news and current events, and everything in between, for a real-time view of what’s trending in the collective consciousness.”

Sonar Solo only lets users analyze one percent of tweets for any given search, wheres Nerve Center has no such limitation. Based on Bottlenose’s Trendfluence social discovery platform, the tool extracts insights from fast-changing data streams to provide decision makers with a better understanding of the various factors that impact their organizations.

Visual.ly is taking its own unique approach to empowering business with data visualization. The company offers a service that enables users to engage their audiences through custom infographics that can be utilized to map everything from the rise of Big Data to the state of the Startup Universe.
