New designs + apps for the Self-Quantified : Wellograph, Saga + more

This week’s Quantified Self roundup features a sleek smartwatch to monitor your well being, an updated lifelogging app updated, and a fun way to get healthy.

Wellograph

A new fitness and wellness tracker will be debuting at CES 2014.  Dubbed as the Wellograph, this smartwatch not only gives you the time of day, but it also monitors your heart rate, exercise progress, steps taken and other activities.

It features a 1.26 inch low-power LCD with integrated front light, Sapphire crystal for the face of the watch, stainless steel and aluminum body, all-weather genuine leather/nato strap, with tri-LED heart rate sensor, 9 axis motion sensor, and connects with your iOS or Android smartphone via Bluetooth 4.0 LE so you can easily see your chart.

Wellograph is able to continuously record date for four months, a single charge can last up to two weeks but with watch-only mode, it lasts up to three months.  It comes with a magnetic charging dock and the watch automatically shifts to landscape mode when placed on it so the time is easily viewable even when charging.

Saga

Lifelogging should be easy, and that’s what Saga delivers with its mobile apps.  The update for iOS allows Saga to learn about your preferences and routines over time to deliver  more relevant, personalized information.

Saga uses hyper-local weather updates, real-time traffic info, and your calendar, as long as you permit it, to provide helpful information such as what time you should leave for your appointment, how the weather may affect your commute, and inform if any of your contacts are in your vicinity.

You can keep tab on your friends and family using Saga, and vice versa, as long as both parties are willing to opt in for the tracking feature.  This way, your family need not worry about where you are as they can easily keep track of you using Saga.

Goji Play

Working out may be fun for some people, but for the most part, reaching a fitness goal can seem like such a daunting task.  Just thinking about running on the treadmill for 30 minutes make it seem so long.  But what if you can play games while exercising?

Goji Play is a fun way of integrating addictive games to your exercise routine.  You’re having fun playing and beating high scores while reaching your exercise goals.  It comes with wireless controllers which you can attach to any cardio equipment and an activity tracker which you can clip on your clothes so you can start tracking your fitness and game goals.
