RackWare raises $2.3M for automated cloud management
RackWare announced today that it has raised $2.3 million in funding thanks in part to investors such as Kickstart Seed Fund and Osage Venture Partners. The automated cloud management provider also revealed that it has benefited from a 75 percent increase in customers over the last three quarters.
RackWare offers its customers an automated cloud management solution called RackWare Management Module (RMM), designed to move workloads between private, public and hybrid clouds, while also increasing or decreasing available resources as necessary.
It has now raised over $7 million to date, breaking its own records for customer and revenue growth for the third consecutive quarter. Its new customers from North America and Europe include Vinit, Blue Shield, WhiteWave, IHS and ZS Associates. To accommodate its continued growth, RackWare has expanded its management team and also increased the size of headquarters and R&D teams. The company’s continued expansion is at least partly due to its recent partnerships with IBM subsidiary SoftLayer and infrastructure and hosting providers Peak 10 and Peer1 Hosting.
