New Relic sees enterprise growth in analytics | #reinvent

At the core of any digital experience is analytics. And software analytics go beyond “Is my software working?” according to Hilarie Koplow-McAdams, newly promoted president of New Relic, Inc., which is poised to help businesses answer this question while delving further into “What does  my customer experience look like?”

During an interview at Amazon re:Invent 2015 in Las Vegas with John Furrier and Brad Gracely, cohosts of theCUBE, from the SiliconANGLE Media team, Koplow-McAdams revealed that New Relic encourages “customers of all sizes to think about anayltics.” She has observed growth out of enterprise, answering questions such as “Who is is visiting the site? and What content are they looking at?” In the past, companies “haven’t had those answer or they have have worked really hard to get them.”

The key to her success during her previous post, as Chief Revenue Officer, was creating “pricing accessibility” through obtaining a “frictionless” price-point. That purchase is immediately validated by “the first 60 seconds [after purchase] that customers get value” from New Relic. The company offers analytics on mobile and brower solutions among others.

A three-prong industry approach

Moving forward, New Relic will be focusing on globalization, a direction in which the company started two years ago. Since going public late last year – a move that Koplow-McAdams described as “fabulous” – the company has moved into a three-prong approach to the market. New Relic has applications for developers, small businesses and enterprise; each have their own go-to markets tailored to their specific needs.

New Relic will be hosting its own event, called FutureStack, in San Francisco on November 11-13, 2015. Last year the event sold out. Koplow-McAdams noted that many of the speakers at Amazon re:Invent will be appearing at FutureStack, as AWS and New Relic have many customers in common. “Every data nerd will be there,” Koplow McAdams said.
