Best Black Friday sales for smartwatches, fitness trackers and other gadgets

If you’re looking to purchase connected devices, Black Friday may be the best time to purchase fitness trackers and smartwatches, or even security cameras as some shops are offering these devices at discounted prices. So which shops will cater to your smart, connected life?

Walmart

Walmart’s doors will open at 6PM on Thursday, November 26 and will offer Fitbit Flex at $59, down from $99, the Fitbit Charge at $119 from $149, and the Fitbit Zip is priced at $39 from $59.

Target

Also opening its doors at 6PM on Thanksgiving Day, Target offers the Fitbit Charger from 149.99down  to $119, Pebble Time from $199.99 to $129.99, and the Fitbit Surge from $249.99 to $199.99.

Best Buy

Opening its doors an hour early than others, Best Buy has the most to offer in the connected/smart department. It offers fitness bands such as the Misfit Flash at $14.99 from $29.99, the Fitbit Charge HR from $149.99 to $119.99, the Fitbit Zip from $59.99 to $39.99, the Fitbit Charge from $129.99 to $89.99, and the Fitbit Surge from $249.99 to $199.99.

Other fitness trackers going on sale include the Jawbone Up 2 from $99.99 to $49.99, the Garmin Vivosmart from $129.99 to $79.99, the Samsung Gear Fit from $149.99 to $79.99, and the Garmin Vivofit 2 $99.99 to $69.99.

Smartwatches are also discounted, such as the Samsung Gear S2 from $299.99 to $249.99, the Samsung Gear 2 Neo from $199.99 to $129.99, the Garmin Vivoactive smartwatch from $249.99 to $169.99, the Garmin Forerunner from $299.99 to $249.99, the Pebble from $99.99 to $69.99, the Pebble Time from $199.99 to $129.99, and the Huawei Watch from $349.99 to $299.99.

And if you purchase any 2nd gen Moto 360 you get $50 Best Buy Gift Card.

For smart home appliances you can get the Arlo Wire-free security camera (pack of four) for $399.99 which is originally priced at $499.99, the Nest Cam from $199.99 to $169.99, the Philips hue BR-30 starter kit from $199.99 to $129.99, and the Samsung 4-door French door Smart Ref from $3599.99 to $2099.99.

And if you purchase a Nest Thermostat you get a $50 Best Buy Gift Card.

Black Friday

Costco and Staples will be opening their doors on Black Friday, 9AM and 6AM respectively. Costco is offering the Fitbit Flex for only $77.99, down from $97.99, while Staples is offering the Arlo wire-free camera (pack of two) for only $279.99, down from $329.99.

Ahead of Black Friday, a Nest Cam bundle-of-three is now being offered at only $497, a $100 savings. Sentri, a home automation hub that also serves as a security camera, is now on pre-order for $299 and will begin shipping on November 27, Black Friday.
