HP, has come up with a new initiative in Cloud Computing. Today, they announced the launch of CloudStart. This comprehensive package, including software, hardware and consultation service, aims at promoting private clouds. Currently, it is available in Japan and Asia Pacific region, this Cloud computing product would be made available to the rest of the world soon.
HP says they will utilize their Cloud Service Automation tools, its storage and blade servers to make CloudStart a success. It is estimated that it would take no more than 30 days for an enterprise to get started with their own cloud with CloudStart. As reported:
CloudStart is offered by HP Cloud Consulting Services and will use the company’s Cloud Service Automation tools, which helps enterprises with their cloud installations and provides automation tools to manage cloud-based applications, according to HP. CloudStart will also use its storage and blade servers, HP said in a statement. HP CloudStart should allow an enterprise to build a private cloud in 30 days, the company said. Clouds can be rolled out in a number of different ways: using a cloud service provider like Amazon, building one internally or using a mixture of the two. The latter is usually called a hybrid cloud.
With last weeks acquisition of Stratavia, a provider of hybrid cloud management tools, HP is all set on it’s ventures in cloud computing. HP is also at VMworld, among other leading companies making cloud-related announcements this week. Watch live coverage at SiliconANGLE.tv
