New Virtualization Features for EMC Customers Headed to the Cloud

A leader in information and virtual infrastructure hardware, software and services, EMC has announced the latest addition of two new virtualization, cloud computing training and certifications to support their customers’ virtualization journey.  These IT certifications may be accessed via EMC Education Services.

Following the official announcement, Howard Elias, President and Chief Operating Officer, EMC Information Infrastructure and Cloud Services related in an interview how fast pacing is the world of IT and how the two new virtualization will operate. “IT is undergoing a tremendous transformation.  The next great wave of technology — including virtualization and cloud computing — is changing how enterprises architect and consume IT services.

EMC’s new virtualization and cloud training and certifications provide IT professionals with the big picture and best practices to help them develop the measurable skills necessary to manage their organization’s journey to the private cloud. It’s imperative for us — and the industry as a whole — to better equip employees, partners and customers with the required training and education so they can truly tap into the operational, efficiency and cost savings benefits cloud computing is delivering today and into the future.”

Experts have noted that this is one of the most comprehensive books and materials relating to virtualization, converged infrastructure and cloud computing. The innovation was brought about by the massive predicament of companies to store and retrieve large files and data. The training and certification courses are now available online.

As EMC looks to make a major takeover move, it’s necessary to provide the tools clients need in order to achieve their goals around the cloud and EMC products.  Some additional developments we’ve seen from EMC as of late include a joint venture with VMware, and their acquisition goals around Isilon.  The developments have been successful for EMC so far, making it a key company to keep an eye on.  Its rising shares are a testimony to this.
