Ekahau Android App Another Example of IT Mobile Market Maturity

For a large company that deals with a broad wireless network, the new Ekahau application for Android mobiles or tablet is a solution for monitoring the network’s tracking of the signal strength. The $299 price displayed on Ekahau’s website is obviously targeting the IT departments or large companies that are using cloud computing.  It seems a little far-fetched, but it’s presence is further proof of where cloud services are headed, and the audiences they’re targeting.

Mobile devices are becoming more computer-like with each passing device launch or OS update, enabling individuals to work on the go.  This has had a large impact on the enterprise, its work force and its ability to become more efficient in managing its day-to-day tasks and responsibilities.  Accessing the centralized management system for something like an IT department now has the ability to go mobile–an intersection of the cloud and mobile devices that’s undeniable in today’s market.  It’s a trend we’re seeing develop from large firms and smaller ones alike.

The development of Ekahau apps is a clear sign that mobile evolution is moving towards businesses and professionals who are deeply involved with the latest technologies. The interest for mobile market in business is also shared by Rackspace, which recently launched two related products: Cloud Connect and Critical Sites. These solutions for IT infrastructure are viewed as an alternative to the expensive and limited technologies of the past.

In the same ship of improvement of the mobile and tablet IT solutions is Juniper Networks too, which has presented to the iPad users the Juno Plus. This security solution was introduced as a remote connectivity service, designed for the latest Apple technologies.
