Sanzeo Takes Real-Time Video Collaboration to the iPhone
Sazneo, the online real-time team communication service, is bringing group collaboration to the iPhone, giving users more flexible ways to communicate with each other. Sanzeo’s mobile service is a blend of instant messaging, group chat, and online communities in a single application. It is available in both free and premium packages.
“My company has been using Sazneo since it was launched last year and we have gained a level of insight and visibility into the business we didn’t have before. Being able to gain access to this valuable information from anywhere using mobile devices will allow our teams to continue to remain effective and in the loop while travelling or away from the office,” said Nick Fera, CEO, Firm58. “It’s like taking your whole team with you anywhere you go. So, if access to information is power and mobile is the new standard, then Sazneo sits at the intersection of power and mobility for its customers.” Fera added.
Sazneo is handy for information sharing become faster, and results to quicker turnarounds in decision making, as well as executing them. It also dramatically reduces the hassle of bulk emails while benefittng from a faster, more practical mode of communication.
“Sazneo Mobile is part of our strategic objective to allow people to securely communicate with their teams regardless of where they are. It is a great fit for mobile workforces or people who tend not to travel with laptops” said Brett Davis, CEO of Sazneo. “Sazneo already runs on the iPad via the inbuilt browser so the Apple iPhone was the next logical step. Official support for other mobile devices will be rolled out according to demand.”
Instant messaging on smartphones is undoubtedly practical and realistic, and people are going to adapt to it. More notably, eBuddy–containing major instant messaging interfaces such as AIM, Facebook Chat, Google Talk, Hyves, ICQ, Myspace, Windows Live Messenger and Yahoo Messenger – hit 100 million downloads on the iPhone last year, and thus, became the most successful independent mobile instant messaging platform.
There have been efforts made around improvement of online collaboration tools, especially around online video and telecommunications. Cisco’s been acquiring a good amount of teleconferencing and home networking resources lately such as the acquistion of Inlet Technologies for $95 million. Skype has also made significant updates, having recently released the latest version for Mac, after being in beta for some time. It comes with a 7-day free trial, and then you can choose from subscriptions fees of $4.99 for a day pass, and $8.99 for a monthly subscription. Skype also decided to delay its initial public offering.
