Wikinvest Tops this Week’s Best Business Apps for iPad, Android Tablets

This week saw not one but three different financial apps launched or updated for the iPad: Wikinvest, Pageonce, and Mint.  Aside from Wikinvest, which is a portfolio management app, the two other applications focus on personal finance, though all three come to show that finance is another area where convenience can make quite a difference. And based on these latest launches, it certainly does for the end user.

iPad

Wikinvest Portfolio Manger

Noted as “”the new portfolio-management tool from Wikinvest.com is already the most advanced of its kind” by Barron’s, Wikinvest lives up to its reputation a lot of functionality. The newly launched iPad app expands the features of the immensely popular iPhone app by adding more visualization, a tablet-optimized UI and more.

PageOnce

PageOnce is a utility app for the iPad that allows users to manage and pay their bills via a secure interface in their tablet. The app sends out reminders before due dates arrive; covers flyer miles, and allows one to manage his or her investment portfolio, among other things.

Mint for iPad

Mint has been around for a while now, but only yesterday did the company unveil the first iPad version of its personal finance management tool.  Thanks to the tablet’s wide-screen the app comes with a sleek, well-organized interface, and now features a notification system that send sends out a remainder when payments are due.

Android  Honeycomb

RepliGo Reader

RepliGo Reader is the first Android app that lets users view and edit PDF files according to the developer, though this functionality is extended using a simplified UI and integration with cloud services such as Gmail, Dropbox, Evernote and other web apps.

Webport HD

Webport has been named the best travel app in 2011 by TabletPCReview.com, which is now wonder considering how much this free app offers in one package. Users can search over 700 airlines and compare prices; view aggregated frequent flyer, hotel and rental car reward program data and more.
