Live Talk: Leveraging Human Capital Techniques to Increase IT DevOps Productivity
The Wikibon community will sponsor a public discussion of how a capital management company applies human capital techniques to achieve productivity, quality, and time-to-deployment breakthroughs in IT devops Tuesday, March 6, at 12:00 P.M. EST (9:00 A.M. PST). The Peer Incite discussion will be webcast live on SiliconAngle.tv.
Wolfgang Goerlich, information systems and security manager at Munder Capital Management, will share his success and discuss the specific methods he used to boost devops productivity with the Wikibon community. He applied a disciplined approach that delivered highly efficient operations and reliable infrastructure to application development, enabling his company to support 317 applications with just four highly skilled and motivated professionals.
One of the keys to his success is organizing applications according to their criticality and outsourcing all older applications that in most shops go on maintenance and use up staff time and attention. He uses both traditional managed services and new SaaS services to move these out of house.
The teleconference, which can be accessed at (218) 632-1064, PIN 1960#, will include a discussion period involving Wikibon members. See here for more details.
