Nerdy Chic Hits the Catwalk: 5 Places We’d Love to See Google Glasses

Could you imagine watching a fashion show from a model’s perspective? You could pretend as though you were wearing the latest wedding dress designs by Oscar de la Renta as you watch the black lace at the bottom of the dress tickle the grey studded Jimmy Choos stomping down the catwalk, Rihanna booming in the background.

Maybe you could even get a glimpse of what goes on behind the curtains of a big fashion show and see the designer yelling for help with a clothing malfunction. Years ago, this would have been considered crazy talk.  After all, digital cameras are not ideal accessories to Valentino.

The world of fashion has found a way to make technology look chic as models wearing Diane von Furstenberg worked it on the runway with Google Glasses, the futuristic communication accessory still in prototype phase at Google labs.

We came up with a few places beyond the catwalk where we would like to see Google Glasses, though I’m sure many men wouldn’t complain if Victoria’s Secret models decided to wear the glasses and show the world some behind the scenes footage of models running around in bedazzled bras.

Knicks and Nets games

We always see Jay-Z and Beyonce at the games and they look so happy all cuddled up, laughing with their eyes glued to the court. It would be cool to see what it is they are actually talking about and maybe even catch an outburst from Beyonce after a bad play on the court.

The Grammy’s

An artist’s initial reaction could be captured after her name is (or isn’t called) for best female artist of the year. Does she curse the winner? Were her tears of joy genuine when she wis, or did she push those out before she hit the stage to look humble?

Movie sets

How does an actor prepare for a big battle scene? And let’s see those bloopers!

An episode of Jersey Shore

Then we can find out the secret behind how Pauly D keeps his hair in such perfect form.

An up-and-coming starving artist in LA

It would make for a great TV show to watch a starving artist go to casting calls, get rejected and accepted and also watch how he deals with pursuing his dreams in the City of Angels, where millions of others have the same dream.
