Precise Releases Precise 9.5 to Improve Business Application Performance

Companies of all sizes, all nationalities and all sectors have invested heavily in application performance management (APM) to find the cross-process management, distribution and manufacturing. The design and quality of the application code are on the determinants of performance and the balance between the functional and technical is a key factor in the future behavior of the application.

The speed of adaptation, however, must meet a number of basic terms of availability and performance without which the information system failed in the mission it deserves in the development strategy of the company. The behavior of the application on the infrastructure of the company is also a foundation of the building – the network components, operating systems, databases, middleware, portals, and security.

Keeping that in mind, Precise, the global leader in application performance management, announced the availability of the major product release Precise 9.5 to help enterprises in reducing the issues related to cloud and virtual environments at the server and storage virtualization levels.

Improved Virtualization Performance

The challenges at virtualization level are more critical because in cyber space that is ours today, every minute lost to resolve a performance or availability can affect the level of service, causing a lack to win or even a net loss of income.

This type of performance problem is very difficult to spot making it difficult to reproduce and correct later.  Precise 9.5 solves this problem by real time discovering and monitoring of virtual machines and their physical hosts, ensuring virtual infrastructure based on business critical applications are always available.

In addition, automated storage tiering technology addresses issues with storage virtual pools by optimizing storage performance without user intervention. But this method doesn’t resolve issues like identification of performance trends as a result of slower storage devices. Precise 9.5 saves the issues by evaluating storage patterns, and identifying storage and servers virtual pools contention issues.

“Precise is the first company that can track transactions across physical and virtual layers and discover resource conflicts, so that mission critical databases and high-touch, customer-facing cloud and mobile applications perform as expected,” said Sherman Wood, vice president of Products at Precise. “Resource contention for virtualized applications has been a major unsolved problem because of the dynamic and automatic nature of virtual and cloud infrastructure.”

Mobile Management

From the point of view of mobile management, the growing size and diversity of mobile ecosystem significantly complicate the task of IT. In a growing number of organizations, even tracking different mobile platforms, browser standards and mobile traffic volumes can be a challenge.

Precise 9.5 resolves these issues by tracking mobile click activity, and monitoring user’s mobile usage patterns.

Performance Intelligence

Without a rigorous and proactive performance felt, it seems difficult to define a reliable service level commitment. To avoid this trap, Precise 9.5 allows IT departments to analyze in detail the sources of performance degradation against business metrics, such as service level agreements, revenue, productivity and cost.

Precise dashboards can be used in computing to better define level agreements corresponding to the real needs of business, and they also serve trades to develop performance indicators to optimize and strengthen commitments.

“Precise dashboards allow business owners and IT to share a common language to manage and optimize applications and technologies according to business performance goals,” said Wood.  “For instance, the value of performance can be balanced against the cost of providing performance.”
