Need Big Data + BI Skills? Microsoft’s One-Day Training Class is This Weekend

Into Big Data?  You’ll be interested in the upcoming Bay Area SQL Server event happening this Saturday, February 23, 2013 at Microsoft Technology Center, 1065 La Avenida, Building 1, Mountain View, CA.

It’s a one-day training event for SQL Server and Business Intelligence professionals, which will run from 8:30 am – 6:00 pm.  After which, attendees are invited to a lively reception with some worthy raffle prizes.  Admission is free but you have to fork over $10 for lunch – a small price to pay considering what you’ll be gaining.

Listen to SQL experts talk about how the language can be utilized to improve one’s business or just catch up with the latest developments in SQL.  Speakers such as DesignMind’s Angel Abundez, Quanta Intelligence’s Carlos Bossy, Microsoft’s William Brown, Innovative IT Consulting’s Mitchell Bottel, LobsterPot Solutions’ ROb Farley, Red Gate’s Grant Fritchey, Confio’s Janis Griffin, SQLHA’s Allan Hirt and many more will be in attendance.

There are also two pre-conference training sessions with experts happening on Friday, February 22.  You can choose between Database Configuration and Tuning with Kevin Kline, SQL Server MVP and Director of Engineering at SQL Sentry, which is a multi-module full day seminar that covers the best practices for database and application design and configuration, implementation, maintenance and performance tuning.or Introduction to SQL Server Data Mining with Mark Tabladillo, Ph.D and SQL Server MVP, which tackles enterprise-level data mining technology, ranging from supporting individual analysts through scalable server solutions.  The pre-conference training events cost $149 each and includes lunch.
