Telerik Delivers Complete Mobile Web Content Management Solution in Sitefinity 6.0 Release

Telerik has announced the availability of the latest version of Sitefinity, its Web Content Management (WCM) lightweight web system.

In version 6.0 of Sitefinity, CMS developers created a new architecture and a new API backend to improve extensibility of all three mobile development strategies – Responsive Web Design, mobile websites and mobile apps. According to the company, the goal of this new version 6.0 is enabling developers to modify all aspects of the mobile central system – Responsive Web Design, mobile websites, and mobile apps – easily and effectively.

Respected investment analyst firms like Morgan Stanley is projecting that the mobile web will climb to a robust rate of change and adoption and will be bigger than desktop Internet use by 2015. With the integration of new all three mobile development strategies, Sitefinity customers will be well positioned to capitalize on opportunities presented by this growing channel.

The new release offers granular control over one platform approach to mobile. This is critical because enterprises can use Sitefinity to address business needs and match mobile approaches to changing market opportunities.

“Mobile has become a driving force in the market today, where more and more people are engaging with brands through mobile applications. To date, businesses have a fragmented approach to mobile application development, which is completely disconnected from the repositories where organizational data lives,” said Martin Kirov, Executive Vice President, Sitefinity, Telerik. “Unlike others, because of our broad portfolio of technologies and services, Telerik is in a unique position to help customers succeed in their mobile strategies, by delivering an all-in-one platform for mobile delivery of content integrated with Web Content Management.”

A summary of all the improvements in this new version include: Mobile App Builder, and improvement to Responsive Design. WCM users can now effortlessly surface SharePoint assets to mobile devices via the Sitefinity Connector for SharePoint. The connection enables comprehensive solution to mobile content delivery, page design flexibility and content authoring experience.

Hybrid-Cloud is newly added module from Telerik, enabling Sitefinity administrators to securely expose internal business data to mobile devices. In addition, Sitefinity 6.0 offers enhancements to many features, including Ecommerce, SiteSync and more.

Telerik recently announced the availability of new tools for PHP and JSP developers, a release of Kendo UI and the availability of Version 2.0 of its Test Studio for iOS that combines mobile test automation and end-user feedback into a single product.
