ZeroTurnaround Updates Its Automation Tool, Unveils LiveRebel 2.7

QA/Ops teams have traditionally struggled to keep up with the quick pace set by development teams, making it essential to have a tool that eliminates server downtime when initiating updates to running applications.Taking into consideration the same, ZeroTurnaround today unveiled LiveRebel 2.7, a newly updated, free-to-download edition of its release automation tool.

The solution helps software teams rollout releases rapidly & safely (no downtime or overhead), without compromising on process, control or user experience – especially critical in today’s ‘constant development’ landscape. The company has launched this update to address the changes in the market that require software providers to constantly develop & deploy new iterations of their technology, the risks businesses face with constant development & best practices for ensuring zero downtime.

LiveRebel 2.7 extends failsafe release automation to .NET, in addition to Java, PHP, Python, Ruby, & PERL. This means that development teams can now develop and deploy applications built using the .NET platform can package up releases – code, database and configuration changes – and deploy them in minutes, with no downtime or user interruption.

“Releasing application updates quickly and frequently is a requirement today with rapidly changing business and user needs,” said Jevgeni Kabanov, Founder and CEO of ZeroTurnaround. “However, software teams are most concerned about whether they’d lose control and break production environments by doing so, and impact their users. With LiveRebel they’re able to release as quickly and often as they’d like, while continuing to thoroughly test each release. On failure, LiveRebel automatically rolls back all changes.”

With LiveRebel 2.7, development teams can rollout releases quickly and safely, without compromising on process, control or user experience. Besides, they can easily track which version of their app is running in each environment, and also monitor apps and servers for health in real-time even after deployment of the application.

Back in March, the company announced the previous version, i.e., LiveRebel 2.6 with features like Support for applications built using Java, PHP, Python, PERL and Ruby, database updates and version control, property management for deploying a single release onto several, and application and server health monitoring.

LiveRebel 2.7 is available today for free and can be downloaded from ZeroTurnaround’s website.
