CineTrailer Migrates to Azure from AWS

CineTrailer, a pan-European app developed by Italian digital media agency DDM, has migrated its back-end technology to Windows Azure from AWS. It has also optimized a version of its app for Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8. Emerson College Buys Coraid Ethernet Storage for its VMware Environment

Emerson College has chosen Coraid EtherDrive SRX storage arrays to provide shared storage for its VMware virtualized server environment. The arrays, from Ethernet storage solution provider Coraid, will replace an aging, expensive-to-maintain FC SAN. Andrew Feland, director of information technology at Emerson, and Frankie Frain, its manager of networks and systems, chose Coraid after looking at several options for a flexible, scale-out system that would meet different performance requirements while decreasing support costs in a shared, virtualized environment.
