LIVE: Violin’s Symphony, Meistro of Managing Systems

Updated with full video – see below.

Welcome to NewsDesk on SiliconANGLE TV for Tuesday August 13, 2013. Yesterday Violin unveiled their next generation of memory array, joining us now to provide his breaking analysis on this new offering is Wikibon Co-Founder and CTO David Floyer.

Symphony provides the convenience of monitoring and administering all the Violin flash Memory Arrays, even if they are geographically distributed across data centers, through a unified web-based user interface. By monitoring key metrics of all available arrays, database administrators gain valuable insights into the health and performance of their systems before they impact the application.

See live feed below or visit youtube.com/siliconangle to watch on-demand.

On today’s NewsDesk with Kristin Feledy, we’ll be speaking Wikibon’s David Floyer, as he introduces us to the next-generation technology, and we’ll be sure to ask him all the important questions about what problems and trials are facing the new applications.

We’ll also get his take on what Symphony is calling “smart grouping,” and the unique ways it operates multiple racks across multiple locations. He’ll also go over the system’s extensive dashboard, which is reported to have quite a few new gadgets and performance reports.

There’s that story, and more from Kristen Nicole talking about the next iPhone, live this morning on NewsDesk with Kristin Feledy.
