Syncsort’s big move to native Hadoop | #HadoopHudson
How Syncsort Inc. is bringing the two worlds of mainframe and unstructured data from mobile and social together has a great deal to do with Hadoop, explained Bryan Ashley, the VP of WW Business Development – Data Integration for Syncsort.
During a live interview with theCUBE at the recently concluded Hadoop on the Hudson event, Ashley discussed how Syncsort started in the mainframe world and has been around for 45 years, claiming leadership in sort technology and speed tech from the standpoint of sort technology. “Now we have moved into native Hadoop, which is a big change for the company,” he furthered, noting the open source platform’s contributions in helping Syncsort address data management optimization.
