Facebook is hosting its F8 Developer Conference at the Fort Mason Center in San Francisco. The social networking giant is expected to unveil new products and services that will either make users love (or hate) the service even more.

A more rounded Messenger app
Though many were not particularly happy when Facebook separated Messenger from its mobile app, as it forced them to download another Facebook app, CEO Mark Zuckerberg has a method to his madness.
Facebook announced that Messenger will be open to developers so they can build on top of it or integrate it with their existing apps; it can be used as a direct line to businesses so consumers can get answers faster; and there will be new third-party apps that allows Messenger users to create new and interesting content that they can share with their friends.

Facebook Analytics for Apps
This provides a single place where developers can understand their audience better, measure user engagement across devices and improve marketing campaigns. The Facebook Analytics for Apps will also allow developers to build better apps and provide better experiences for users.

LiveRail
LiveRail is a video tech startup acquired by Facebook last year, and now its monetization platform can be used by app publishers to manage their videos and display ads business. Aside from that, LiveRail is enabling publishers to use Facebook’s approach for delivering the right ad to the right audience, which means better results and experiences for people.

Social Plugins
Facebook’s Social Plugins has been refreshed with an updated design and works better on mobile, allowing for better user engagement. A new Embedded Video Player was introduced that allows publishers to embed native Facebook videos in a full-bleed video player. This will allow more people to be able to interact with Facebook videos from anywhere on the web.

Internet of Things
Parse, a mobile developer tool acquired by Facebook in 2013, will now be available for developers so they can easily create a whole new category of apps for connected devices, such as garage door openers, smoke detectors and even wearable tech.

Spherical Video Coming to News Feed
Your News Feed is about to change with the arrival of Spherical Videos. The videos are previews of immersive, 360-degree videos that will be available on your News Feed. You will be able to choose which angle to view it from so you can better explore your surroundings.

New Share Sheet
