Royal Philips has unveiled a new product that makes lighting your house more interesting. Called the Hue Go, the device is a smart portable light that delivers the features you love in the original Hue bulb in your hands. It features a rechargeable Lithium ion battery that charges in just 1.5 hours but gives up to three hours of light. It has a 6W bulb that gives off different shades of lights, has five dynamic effects you can choose from, and you can use your iOS or Android device to set timers, change colors or dynamic effects, and if its connected to the bridge, all the Hue features become available such as syncing the light with your favorite music as well as experiencing the Ambilight TV where the Hue light bulb gets synced with the movie you are watching.

If you don’t have your smartphone nearby but want to change the color of the light, there’s a button at the bottom of the lamp that you can use to change the colors or the effects. The Hue Go can also help you get up on the right side of the bed as you can set it to gradually brighten as it nears your wake up time. Carrefour’s Connected Kitchen

Carrefour Belgium, a chain of supermarkets, has introduced a new device that would allow shoppers to order supplies they need right from their kitchens. Called the Connected Kitchen, it allows users to scan items in their kitchen, which they can then use to order online. It is able to identify items from Carrefour as well as those marketed by competitors, which when scanned, automatically suggests similar products from Carrefour.

The Connected Kitchen tool is also voice-enabled which means you can choose between scanning items or ordering items using their voice. This way, households can stay on top of their supplies and never run out of them as they can shop even before supplies are consumed.

Amazon Dash

At first, people thought that the Amazon Dash was an April Fool’s prank but just like Carrefour’s Connected Kitchen, the Dash is real. Dash is a handheld device that connects to your home’s Wi-Fi so it can directly connect with your AmazonFresh account. It is made from sturdy materials and features two buttons which you can use to either speak the item you want or to scan an item you want added to your shopping list.

Dash is so easy to use that any member of the family can use to scan items they want to purchase from AmazonFresh. There are over 500,000 items you can choose from using the AmazonFresh web site or mobile apps and review the items you want before they get delivered. Most items can be delivered the next day which means no need to ran to the supermarket, deal with obnoxious customers, or even get in line to pay for your items. With Dash, you can do all your shopping at home and expect them to be delivered as fast as the following day.
