Oracle PaaS links Cloud and on-prem offering with completely integrated services | #datacenter

“We want to be the PaaS that doesn’t simply provide Oracle technology, but our competition’s technology as well.”

Hot on the heels of Larry Ellison’s “breathtaking announcement” about the new hybrid Cloud management capabilities of the Oracle platform, Oracle EVP of Fusion Middleware Development, Inderjeet Singh, spoke to theCUBE about the process of integrating Cloud-based and on-premises applications.

100% agile

“We believe that mobile Cloud service and integration Cloud service together provide the glue for not only Oracle, but non-Oracle applications as well,” said Singh, who went on to explain to theCUBE that the revolutionary PaaS integrates applications not only Cloud-to-Cloud, but Cloud-to-on-prem and on-prem-to-Cloud.

“We are taking these Cloud services and making them available on the engineered systems,” Singh said. “So, the same way as the revision occurs on the Cloud, that revision will be available on the engineered system on-prem as well. … That means that the customer who is not able to go with the public Cloud is now able to deploy the same innovation that is on the public Cloud on-prem, with the same interface as well.”
