Accenture launches cloud-based insights platform
Accenture Plc yesterday unveiled its new Accenture Insights Platform, a cloud-based analytics tool that aims to simplify the process of delivering real-time actionable insights to businesses and help them gain a competitive advantage.
Accenture describes its Insights Platform as a flexible Analytics-as-a-Service solution that’s designed to appeal to CXOs, data scientists and business users alike. It’s comprised of an integrated suite of analytics technologies, enterprise support and priced on a consumption-based arrangement, the company said.
There’s a big emphasis on speed as well. The company said Accenture Insights Platform can increase organization’s speed to insight, and can help them to make decisions and achieve desirable business outcomes faster. The platform sits on a preconfigured, industrialized end-to-end architecture that can be provisioned in less than 24 hours, allowing companies to start generating actionable insights from their data in week, as opposed to the months it takes to set up more conventional solutions. It also integrates with the Accenture Cloud Platform, which provides centralized cloud management capabilities.
Staying with the ‘speediness’ theme, the company points out the Accenture Insights Platform’ components can be quickly customized to meet customer’s needs. Those components include a catalog of industry, domain and client-centric applications, including the advanced analytics applications developed through the Accenture Analytics Applications Platform; a platform to ingest, store and analyze data; data visualization, data science, insight execution, and data management services.
What with the consumption-based business model, customers don’t have to worry about paying out a large upfront fee to get the solution up and running. Accenture argues this model also makes it simpler for users to expand into new technologies while benefiting from its ongoing research and development.
“Speed is a huge differentiator for businesses today – speed to insight, speed to decision making and speed to action and outcomes,” said Narendra Mulani, senior managing director, Accenture Analytics, part of Accenture Digital. “As all companies currently have a wealth of data at their disposal and many are applying analytics, the company today that democratizes their data and places the needed insight into the hands of their employees the fastest so they can make data-driven decisions will be in the best position to defend, transform and disrupt in their markets.”
