How to sell your old iPhone 6 on eBay

Just one day until Apple’s big event, and the world is expecting at least two new iPhones to be introduced, among other devices. But with the new iPhone models comes new demand for the bright and shiny handset. To offset the costs of a new iPhone, it’s helpful to sell the old one. We’ve pulled together several resources for where to sell the iPhone for top dollar and what sellers can expect to get for an older handset, but eBay, Inc. is one of the best places to unload outplayed handsets.

eBay, Inc. is one of the places that offers the best and easiest process for your old device and now, selling on the site has been made easier and getting a quote for your device no longer needs signing in to your account. It can even be done in just 30 seconds.

How to sell you iPhone on eBay

To get started, click on the link: http://www.ebay.com/sell/phones.jsf

From here, you will see various smartphone brands from Apple, Samsung, HTC, LG, Motorola, to name a few. Click on Apple. You will then be presented with the different models of iPhones from the first generation iPhone to the iPhone 6 Plus. Choose the right model for accurate estimates.

Let’s say you have an iPhone 6 Plus. After clicking on that model, you will then be asked to choose whether your device is unlocked or is under a carrier. You will then be asked to determine the storage capacity of your iPhone. Let’s say you have the 64GB model. The next step is to choose the color, for this example, we have chosen the Gold color option. You will then be asked to rate the condition of the device whether it’s new, manufacturer or seller refurbished, used, some parts not working. For this part, we’ll simply choose used, and you will be then be asked to rate whether it is in excellent, good or poor condition. For the purpose of this example, we chose good. You will then be asked if it comes with the original box, earphones, charger and cable or if it has no accessories. We chose no accessories. After clicking on the last option, the value of your device will be shown. You can then choose to click ‘continue’ if you are satisfied with the offer so it can be posted for buyers to see. So in this example, a used, unlocked 64GB iPhone 6 Plus in good working condition with no accessories is valued at $629. This value can go up or down, depending on the bidders.

eBay boasts of 157 million active buyers which means there will always be an eBay shopper in search of things to purchase, making your device something that could easily sell.

To make things more exciting for eBay sellers, it will be hosting a special invite/RSVP only event that would entail eBay matching the sale price up to $100 for those who list their smartphone between September 8 to September 30 and sell by October 7.
