Cloud solutions for enterprise infrastructure | #oow15
Enterprise cloud infrastructure is essential to many corporate businesses. And where there’s demand, a market for specialized cloud services sometimes appears — in this case in the form of Vitacore Systems, Inc, a specific provider of enterprise platform solutions.
Stu Miniman, cohost of theCUBE, from the SiliconANGLE Media team, spoke to Virtacore Systems, Inc.’s Michael Grant, VP of sales, during Oracle OpenWorld 2015.
Customers
The target of Virtacore Systems is quite specific relative to Infrastructure-as-a-Service cloud platform providers. According to Grant, the target customers are “BIN [storage], high SNP [arrays] and low enterprise,” especially in the Richmond area environment, which is known for its high density of data centers and fiber networks.
It also operates for customers in Chicago. These customers are also educated on its partnerships with Cisco Systems, VMware, and Nimble Storage, which help the back end of its platform.
Delivering solutions
The company delivers its customers with what Grant says is a cloud for SQL-related, mission-critical corporate business platforms. It partnerships with Nimble Storage, Oracle and VMware provide it with the capability to provide extensive cloud services that are required for applications. It can also take existing databases customers and take an “Equinix database center [where] we can create a cloud seamless solution that can migrate into AWS,” for example.
