Full stream ahead: How one company approaches high-level data processing | #BigDataNYC

The digital transformation is creating more high-level connectivity across the globe. However, while American companies are doing well and constantly innovating, some may wonder how is the market doing overseas. Who’s growing to be the next industry leader?

Yuanhao Sun, cofounder and CTO of Transwarp Technology, Inc., answered these and other important questions regarding data infrastructure. Sun talked with Jeff Frick (@JeffFrick) and George Gilbert (@ggilbert41), cohosts of theCUBE, from the SiliconANGLE Media team, during the BigDataNYC 2016 conference about his company and how it utilizes data.

Transwarp Technology was founded in 2013 and is quickly growing to be an industry leader. It has over 500 customers, which all run on Spark, according to Sun. Not only do they have widely compatible infrastructures, but their services also include a “streaming engine,” said Sun.

Because of this young company’s agility, it now has the “most deployment cases” in China, according to said Sun.

A complimentary attitude

Transwarp Technology’s architecture allows customers to go the hybrid route. Whether a customer is using Apache Hadoop or Transwarp Hadoop, the company has created a “one-stop-shop platform,” said Sun. Along with storing a company’s data, Transwarp Technology can also provide highly interactive analysis.

In order to help cut down on redundancies, customers also have the opportunity to “batch and synchronize records,” said Sun. Optionality and agility have propelled Transwarp Technology to the forefront of the Chinese market.

Looking ahead

Because Transwarp Technology listens to the feedback from its customers, it has managed to create use cases where latency is under “a few milliseconds,” said Sun. It has even helped a wind farm manage and process over 10 million inputs per second, according to Sun.

As more companies move forward and push toward the Internet of Things, Transwarp will continue to develop and innovate its technology. The company’s inherent desire to produce better and more efficient products is enhanced by its “drive for the customer,” said Sun.
