Sprinklr bring social media monitoring to the big screen

Sprinklr Inc., maker of a popular platform organizations can use to monitor and engage in conversations over social media, is bringing its technology to the big screen with a version of its dashboard that runs on digital signage diplays Sprinklr Display can integrate data from up to 24 social channels into a single view for display in retail stores, command
centers, events and billboards.

Digital signage has been one of the few bright spots in an otherwise dismal traditional media market. Spending on out-of-home advertising in the U.S. was $7.6 billion in 2016 and is expected to grow nearly four percent this year, according to Magna Global USA, Inc. The digital signage market, which includes hardware and software sales, was valued at $16.9 billion in 2015 and is expected to reach $27.3 billion by 2022, according to MarketsandMarkets.

Sprinklr provides software for social advertising, content management, collaboration, advocacy and social media monitoring for large enterprises. It has survived major consolidation in the market for social media monitoring tools, raising $228 million in the process. The company employs 1,100 people and is widely considered to be a top candidate for an initial public offering.

With Sprinklr Display, marketers can create dynamic screens that stream real-time social media content for use in areas like competitive intelligence, community management, crisis communication, ad campaign management and consumer sentiment analysis. It provides several dozen out-of-the-box display templates that the company said can easily be customized, making it possible for companies to deploy thousands of displays globally from a single dashboard. The offering is targeted at event organizers, retailers and advertising agencies.

Sprinklr Display is compatible with a wide variety of display hardware and players, with the ability to configure multiple display types including multiple-display walls. A feature called “Stay Alive” enables displays to continually refresh even with intermittent internet connections. Secure URL and IP white-listing is available for sensitive data environments.

The software is available tomorrow. Pricing wasn’t specified.
