Source{d} launches enterprise edition of its software development analytics tools

Source{d} Technologies Inc., which sells a data platform for developers that provides deep analytics into their software development lifecycles, today launched a new enterprise edition of its software that comes with enhanced visualization tools, management capabilities and analytics functions.

Source{d}’s platform provides insights for developers into the application programming interfaces and other tools they’re using, as well as more general information about productivity and other metrics. The Enterprise Edition is meant to provide additional tools for large organizations, to help with managing their software portfolios and the processes used to build them, the company said.

“Sourced enables large engineering organizations to better monitor, measure and manage their IT initiatives by providing a platform that empowers IT leaders with actionable data,” Chief Executive Officer Eiso Kant said in a statement. “The release of Sourced Enterprise is a major milestone towards proper engineering observability of the entire software development life cycle in enterprises.”

The Enterprise Edition of source{d}’s platform comes with additional security features including role-based access controls, plus dedicated support and service-level agreements. The software can be deployed on-premises or used on a software-as-a-service basis in the cloud.

The company said the Enterprise Edition can handle even the largest of codebases, which means complex queries of large data sets will be resolved in just a few minutes at the most. The software comes with various add-ons to enable those complex queries, in order to “help enterprises overcome specific challenges such as identity matching or code duplication analysis.”

Source{d} said its platform comes integrated with Apache Superset, which is an open-source business intelligence tool that provides data visualization capabilities. It can also integrate with other popular project management and business intelligence tools, the company said.

The data visualization capabilities provided by Apache Superset are also being made available in source{d}’s free Community Edition, which is currently available in private beta.
