Druva integrates with Slack, Teams, ServiceNow, Splunk and Okta

Cloud data protection company Druva Inc. today is expanding into enterprise collaboration by integrating with leading applications, including Microsoft Teams and Slack.

In addition, Druva announced new integrations with popular cloud services such as ServiceNow, Splunk and Okta.

The integrations are a notable departure for Druva, which used to focus exclusively on safeguarding Amazon Web Services environments. The company’s main product is an integrated service for AWS users that combines data from endpoints, servers and cloud applications into a central repository for backup, data protection, governance and intelligence purposes.

But Druva’s integration with Microsoft Teams and Slack shows that it clearly wants to expand the scope of its data protection tools. By supporting these apps, Druva enables users of both to preserve the integrity of their communications and conversations for e-discovery, legal hold and other requirements. Moreover, by integrating with Teams, users can seamlessly and quickly recover from scenarios where data gets deleted, either by accident or maliciously, the company said.

The integrations with ServiceNow, Splunk and Okta meanwhile helps Druva’s customers to secure more workloads and better ensure security and compliance across their entire organization.

Druva claims it’s the only company offering enterprises a comprehensive and scalable way to protect and utilize data in the same place it’s being created.

AWS isn’t being left out either. Druva announced new automated disaster recovery capabilities for Amazon workloads that ensures they’re not only protected, but also quickly recoverable in the event of any mishaps. Automated Disaster Recovery, the company said, simplifies the setup of disaster recovery plans within AWS environments, offering the ability to create cross-account disaster recovery plans along with cross-region and cross-account support.

Druva said its new capabilities for Slack and teams will be made available to early adopters in November, with general availability to come by the first quarter of next year. The integration with Okta is generally available to all customers now, while the integrations with ServiceNow and Splunk will be ready before the year is out.
