Security intelligence startup Exabeam launches new Cloud Platform

Security intelligence and management solutions startup Exabeam Inc. today unveiled its new Exabeam Cloud Platform designed to help security leaders improve their security posture.

The new platform, introduced at the RSA Conference in San Francisco, has been designed to allow the easier expedition of provisioning and consumption of new applications, tools and content for security engineers and analysts.

Cloud Platform extends Exabeam’s existing security information and event management solutions with user behavior analytics and object-centric workspaces with the addition of cloud storage, data graphing and integrations with support for more than 250 products. The company pitches the new service as a cloud offering that allows the elimination of engineering tasks needed to deploy and maintain infrastructure underlying services.

The new Cloud Platform is being made available to Exabeam customers on the newly launched Exabeam Application Marketplace. The Application Marketplace is said to provide analysts and engineers with a single online location to try, buy and deploy Exabeam security management applications to improve how they work.

Applications available on the marketplace include the Exabeam Cloud Archive that allows organizations to establish a second, cheaper storage tier for the long-term retention of security and the Exabeam Threat Intelligence Service that allows security teams to fully integrate threat intelligence with correlation rules or behavioral analysis models.

In the future, applications will also be available from trusted partners. Partners will be able to build applications on the Cloud Platform using Exabeam’s software development toolkit or directly through the marketplace.

“Exabeam’s mission is to make every security practitioner more efficient,” Nir Polak, chief executive officer of Exabeam, said in a statement.

The new Cloud Platform will initially be available to Exabeam software-as-a-service cloud customers starting in the second quarter.
