Cynet adds Incident Engine and human help to its autonomous endpoint protection platform

Cybersecurity startup Cynet Security Ltd. said today it’s adding some new capabilities to its autonomous endpoint protection platform that it says will not only improve threat detection accuracy but also help users to mitigate such threats more easily.

Cynet sells an artificial intelligence-powered autonomous endpoint protection platform that’s meant to help bring breach protection within the reach of any organization, regardless of its size or security skills. The company’s platform works to safeguard internal networks through a combination of endpoint detection and response, user and entity behavior analytics, network analytics and deception capabilities. It also offers a 24/7 security operation center.

Cynet says its autonomous breach protection platform provides customers with best-of-breed adaptive protection, including the widest set of commodity and advanced threats with zero operational overhead, maintenance efforts or manual operation.

While catering to businesses of all sizes, Cynet’s platform was primarily designed with small to medium-sized enterprises in mind, since they may struggle to find a budget for in-house talent to integrate and manage a broad range of siloed solutions. In covering a broad range of security concerns, the company says, Cynet 360 platform offers solutions that meet small and medium-sized business budgets and information technology department size constraints while guaranteeing easy deployment.

The potential of such a platform is not lost on investors, which recently injected $18 million into the company through its Series B funding round.

And Cynet has wasted no time in putting that cash to use. Its latest release, Cynet 360 V4.0, added new capabilities such as an Incident Engine that generates a visual map (pictured, below) of the entire incident investigation and response for each security breach it detects. Within just five minutes, the Incident Engine can create a full response workflow for each new threat it detects, including root cause analysis, full threat impact determination and a list of remediation actions. Cynet says it can significantly reduce the time it takes for customers to contain and eliminate any threats.

Cynet has also created a new CyOps 24X7 detection and response services team that continuously monitors all customer environments to help ensure any threats are uncovered. The team also provides ad-hoc threat investigations and forensic analysis and can guide customers through any necessary remediation steps they need to implement.

“Because cybercriminals find ways to circumvent the cocktail of security solutions in place by most organizations, we are answering the call to strengthen and simplify the process,” Cynet Chief Executive Eyal Gruner said in a statement.
