Netenrich debuts its Intelligent Security Operations Center

Cybersecurity firm Netenrich Inc. today announced the general availability of its Intelligent Security Operations Center that’s aimed at helping midsized enterprises and managed service providers better manage their cybersecurity investments according to their evolving needs.

Many large enterprises run Security Operations Centers, special teams dedicated to monitoring and analyzing their security posture on an ongoing basis. The SOC team’s goal is to detect, analyze and respond to cybersecurity incidents using a combination of technology solutions and a strong set of processes. Security operations centers are typically staffed with security analysts and engineers as well as managers who oversee security operations.

The problem for midmarket companies is many can’t afford to make the kind of investment necessary to maintain a SOC team that can protect their business from every kind of threat. Aa result, those security teams lack expertise in specific areas, which means they’re unable to determine to a sufficient degree what actions they should take or which issues are the most critical threats that need to be dealt with.

“Organizations face a massive security struggle,” said Netenrich Chairman and Chief Executive Raju Chekuri. “CIOs and CISOs understand the importance of security yet they’re constrained across philosophical mindsets, lack of resources and skills shortage.”

Netenrich aims to change that with its Intelligent SOC service offering, which it says helps organizations to scale up their security operations using a combination of artificial intelligence-based tools and its own internal security analysts.

Customers can use Netenrich’s Intelligent SOC on a “pay-as-you-grow” basis, choosing from specific security services and entitlement layers that match their budget and needs.

“We manage L1, L2 or other security workloads which frees internal teams to focus on high-priority and transformative activities tied to business needs,” said Brandon Hoffman, chief information security officer at Netenrich.

Managed service providers can also take advantage of Netenrich’s offering to expand their own businesses with differentiated SOC services, the company said. It offers a range of service models for MSPs, including white-label SOC services and packages that can be sold to both large and small enterprises.

Some of the services provided by the Netenrich Intelligent SOC include attack surface intelligence, external risk assessments, vulnerability assessments, proprietary threat intelligence and endpoint detection and response.

“Security driven by our Resolution Intelligence means fewer escalations and outages today, and fewer alerts and incidents to chase tomorrow,” Hoffman said. “Over time, more incidents will get resolved automatically within Netenrich Intelligent SOC, reducing run costs even more and helping customers make the shift from a reactive to proactive security posture.”
