Editor X, the advanced web creation platform and product of Wix.com Ltd., announced today its official launch out of beta testing.

Over the past year, the editor has already brought on 200,000 users, added sophisticated design capabilities and now revealed a new set of collaboration tools.

With Editor X, teams can edit websites concurrently, meaning multiple people can work on the same page simultaneously. According to Editor X, this will make the product the first in the industry capable of this feat, making it the only fully collaborative web creation platform in the world.

In addition to concurrent editing, teams will have access to live commenting, advanced roles and permissions and shared design libraries. The company also expanded the design capabilities of Editor X to offer advanced code-free interactions for business users.

Editor X’s interface features a platform with smooth drag-and-drop for designers and web professionals to create sleek and responsive web pages, according to the company. It’s easy enough for new users to create simple pages and includes templates and libraries that can quickly generate out of the box pages, but it also includes enough power to add custom code and a content management system for data-driven sites.

Using Editor X, creators can create and publish an unlimited number of sites for free. They can also upgrade to a premium plan to gain access to benefits such as custom domain names and the ability to accept online payments.
