HPE solidifies edge-to-cloud service stance at Oct. 19 event

It’s 2021, and we’re all living on the edge. As cell phones, gaming devices and smart home appliances fill almost every American household, the edge is a rapidly growing market, with The Linux Foundation expecting more than $700 billion in capital investment to be made in edge IT infrastructure over the next decade.

The edge market is poised for rapid growth, especially with a pandemic accelerating the need for remote devices.  Network World’s “2020 State of the Network”  survey reported that 69% of businesses have deployed, are piloting, or are in the process of deploying edge computing. And  International Data Corp.  predicts that half of enterprise information technology infrastructure deployments will occur on the edge by the end of 2023, up from less than 10% in 2020.

On Oct. 19, HPE will host an exclusive event to announce innovations from Aruba that will focus on taking advantage of the edge. Join HPE President and Chief Executive Officer Antonio Neri as he unveils new edge-computing innovations. (* Disclosure below.)

Bringing the world closer to the edge

Founded in 2002, Aruba Networks was acquired by HPE in March 2015 for around $3 billion. HPE recognized the potential of the edge market, acquiring the wireless network industry leader in a successful effort to gain a headstart on the market.

In 2020, HPE invested in a single plug-in card created by Pensando that allows enterprises to forgo installing a variety of appliances required for security, storage and network access. Tune in to theCUBE next week to find out how these elements come together to disrupt the status quo and transform the edge-to-cloud equation.
