Diwo debuts with AI-powered decision-making platform

Business intelligence startup Diwo Inc. today launched its flagship Decision Intelligence Platform, providing business users with access to artificial intelligence-powered recommendations in order to solve the “last mile” challenge of data analytics.

Diwo has created a next-generation business intelligence platform that aims to transform the decision-making process. Although enterprises have an array of BI tools at their fingertips that can aid them in making key decisions, the problem is that users still cannot come to the conclusions they need fast enough.

As Diwo explains, most BI tools burden users with time-consuming manual data exploration processes. The company is trying to tackle a problem identified by Gartner Inc., which warned back in 2020 that business users struggle to know which insights to take action on. The problem is that those insights are not easily consumable and lack proper context, Gartner says. Essentially, decision makers are “drowning in data” and therefore struggle to identify what’s important and the best actions to take.

To remedy this, Diwo provides a more streamlined analytics process that works continuously to discover the hidden drivers of business change, while keeping tabs on key performance indicators. Then, it uses AI smarts to provide actionable recommendations directly to decision makers.

All the user has to do is review each recommendation to understand the business impact of that decision, and any tradeoffs, before deciding whether or not to implement it. In this way, Diwo says, it can eliminate BI bottlenecks and significantly reduce the time it takes to make strategic and tactical business decisions.

Diwo said its platform is already being used to good effect by a number of Fortune 1000 companies that have been overburdened with large-scale, highly repetitive day-to-day operational activities. For instance, some customers are using the platform to aid decisions around logistics in order to identify on-time shipment arrival risk in a proactive manner. Another use case is inventory optimization, Diwo said, with the platform helping customers forecast demand and manage their inventories more efficiently.

Further, the company said, the Diwo Decision Intelligence Platform can help companies to improve customer retention by providing them with more personalized offerings through the most effective channels.

Diwo Chief Executive Krishna Kallakuri said that although it’s important for decision-makers to know when a change occurs in their business, it’s even more critical to understand what actions to take in relation to that change.

“With Diwo, you not only close the data-to-decision gap, but also put AI and contextual intelligence at the heart of decision-making to better understand the why and what questions,” he said.
