With artificial intelligence, analyzing and organizing data is easier than ever. AI is able to handle data exponentially more efficient and quicker than humans.
For the past decade, DataRobot Inc. has provided a platform for data scientists, enabling them to create analytical models with machine learning and AI, using Amazon Web Services as a distribution channel with their Marketplace offering.
“If you’re looking to get real value from your data science, personal investments and your data, then you have DataRobot that you can download from your AWS Marketplace,” said Sirisha Kadamalakalva (pictured), chief strategy officer of DataRobot. “You can essentially get value from data in a matter of minutes and not the months or quarters that’s generally associated with AI and ML.”
Kadamalakalva spoke with theCUBE industry analyst John Furirer at the AWS Marketplace Seller Conference, during an exclusive broadcast on theCUBE, SiliconANGLE Media’s livestreaming studio. They discussed DataRobot’s use of AI and ML, democratizing access to AI, how Marketplace benefited the company and more. (* Disclosure below.)
The alliance between AWS and DataRobot is a “win-win,” according to Kadamalakalva, benefiting DataRobot, AWS and software users.
“It’s a win for DataRobot because the number of eyeballs that look at AWS Marketplace is significantly higher than the doors that we can go knock on,” she said. “It’s a distribution multiplier for us. The integration into AWS services is very important, because we need to be interoperable with Cloud Player services that they offer. Whether it is with SageMaker or Redshift, we support all of those.”
DataRobot allows its users to scale their data science to multiple projects and make AI “real,” generating business value out of data science. Increasing AI accessibility to those who need it is one of the organization’s main priorities.
“We were founded with the vision that we wanted to democratize the access to AI within enterprises. It shouldn’t be restricted to a small group of people,” Kadamalakalva said. “Data scientists also love DataRobot, but the mission is to enhance hundreds of people within an organization to use data science, like how you use Tableau on a regular basis or how you use Microsoft Excel on a regular basis. We want to democratize AI, and when you want to democratize AI, you need to democratize access to data.”
