Topline Pro raises $5M for its AI-powered website development platform

Topline Pro, a startup using artificial intelligence to help small businesses develop websites, today announced that it has raised $5 million in seed funding.

The funding was provided by Bonfire Ventures, TMV, BBG Ventures and Flybdridge Graduate Syndicate. A number of angel investors took part as well.

New York-based Topline Pro, incorporated as Dwelling Management Inc., provides a cloud platform that enables small businesses to build websites without writing code. The startup’s platform reportedly uses OpenAI LLC’s GPT-3 artificial intelligence system to automate website development tasks. GPT-3 can generate marketing copy, write software code and perform other tasks based on user prompts.

Topline Pro can build a customized website for a small business based on information that users submit via a form. After generating webpages, the startup’s platform registers a domain name and performs the other technical tasks involved in launching a website. The platform’s AI algorithms generate new marketing copy twice a week to support businesses’ customer acquisition initiatives.

Tt also promises to automate several of the other tasks involved in a company’s day-to-day business operations. As part of its platform, Topline Pro provides a prepackaged booking form that companies can add to their websites. The form enables customers to make bookings on a self-service basis, which helps small businesses reduce manual work for employees. Customer purchases can be processed using Topline Pro’s built-in payment processing tools.

Another built-in tool enables small businesses that use the startup’s platform to notify customers of promotions and seasonal offerings. According to the startup, businesses have access to automation features that reduce the amount of manual work involved in creating marketing campaigns. An analytics dashboard monitors the effectiveness of each marketing campaign and highlights areas for improvements.

The company says its platform is gaining traction among small businesses. It detailed that it has helped process $25 million worth of direct job requests for more than 1,000 businesses since launching its platform.

Topline Pro will use the new funding to build more AI features. “We’ve been using generative AI to empower our pros to succeed for over a year,” Topline Pro co-founder and Chief Executive Officer Nick Ornitz stated in a blog post. “With this capital, we’re expanding our use of generative AI to automate everything that enables a business owner to be discovered, trusted, and booked repeatedly. We’re enabling them to focus on doing great work in the field and to leave the rest to us.”
