Digital asset and project management startup Share Creators raises $5M

Digital asset and project management tools startup Share Creators Inc. announced today that it has raised $5 million in new funding to grow its customer base and expand its presence in the U.S. and Europe.

5Y Capital led the round, with Foxit also participating.

Founded in 2018, Share Creators offers a service that makes it easier for game developers, e-commerce marketers and product designers to collaborate online and manage large digital files. The company goes beyond traditional digital asset management and collaboration solutions, file hosting services and personal cloud platforms to address the specific needs of developers and designers.

Share Creators argues that as more virtual reality and augmented reality content is created, data consumption increases. With employers needing to support remote workforces, there is a growing demand for advanced content storage and management platforms.

Creating new games or online stores can take months and during the process, every change results in creating a new file that consumes tens or even hundreds of gigabytes. With the switch to remote working, a simple file can take hours to download locally – assuming the user has enough computing power and storage. Files also often get renamed “final,” making it difficult to know which version is the most current.

Share Creators addresses these issues through artificial intelligence and machine learning to deliver fast, secure access to high-resolution visual images and digital files without having to download them locally.

Using the company’s “Blueberry” cloud-based digital asset management platform running on Amazon Web Services Inc., teams can increase efficiency by at least 25% by previewing over 100 types of files online. The tools provide the assurance that users are always working from the most current version of files.

The platform also offers AI-based intelligence search capabilities and tags that make finding and creating digital assets easier. The platform supports secure visitor access for teams that hire subcontractors or need to share their work-in-progress with clients.

Notable Share Creators clients include Microsoft Corp., NetEase Inc., Tencent Holdings Ltd., Bungie Inc., Marvel Entertainment LLC and AppLovin Corp.

Share Creators offers access starting at 99 cents a month for a single user, with options for teams ranging from $9.99 to $29.99 per month.
