LTIMindtree leverages AWS for improved service delivery following merger

LTIMindtree Ltd., once two separate business entities, now has a global portfolio spanning 750 clients, employing over 90,000 professionals and spread out globally across over 33 markets.

In getting the ball rolling following its fledgling but promising merger, the company is doubling down on Amazon Web Services Inc. as its primary value delivery driver.

“If you look at the number of services that AWS provides and what customers are looking for, both focus on how to compose business processes using these multiple services seamlessly,” said Ashish Varerkar (pictured, left), vice president of cloud success at LTIMindtree. “Most of the announcements that we have seen during re:Invent as well, they’re talking about seamless connectivity between their services.”

Varerkar and Siddharth Bohra (pictured, right), chief business officer of cloud and data products at LTIMindtree, spoke with theCUBE industry analyst John Walls at the recent AWS re:Invent conference, during an exclusive broadcast on theCUBE, SiliconANGLE Media’s livestreaming studio. They discussed the new capabilities and competencies the company is delivering with AWS. (* Disclosure below.)

Into the finer details

The company’s engagements go beyond just offering services and encompass the creation of new IP, paired with its services, to give customers an increased certainty with their outcomes, according to Bohra.

“What we are collaborating with AWS on for our clients ranges from helping customers build more resiliency,” he explained. “On that, I’m talking about life sciences companies building more resiliency in the manufacturing and R&D processes. On the other side, we are helping streaming and media companies digitize their supply chain so that it is more effective, efficient and real time, using the power of the cloud.”

Given that businesses from different verticals enter the transformation journey with varying end goals, LTIMindtree created its own ideation called the business NorthStar. It’s been codified to define several transformation use cases across industries and lives in the company’s end-to-end cloud lifecycle management suite, Infinity.
