BeyondID launches self-service tool for transition to Okta Identity Engine
Managed identity services provider BeyondID today announced a new self-service tool designed to support organizations in upgrading to the Okta Inc. Identity Engine.
The new on-demand service offers clients a clear migration roadmap, including support for navigating new features and preparing for future identity challenges.
Okta’s Identity Engine is an identity platform that enables secure and flexible user authentication, providing the basis for a zero-trust security architecture. Zero trust refers to the idea that no person or device can be trusted, so organizations apply automation and identity controls to protect them.
The platform facilitates a passwordless user experience and features phishing-resistant authenticators, enhancing the security of digital identities. BeyondID’s self-service tool is designed to ease the transition from Okta’s Classic Engine to OIE and promotes a higher adoption of the new features by integrating apps and tools.
“There is no one-size-fits-all solution when preparing to migrate to a new platform. Organizations want flexibility and consistency across platforms and apps while keeping their employees, partners and customers secure,” Arun Shrestha, co-founder and chief executive of BeyondID, said ahead of the release. “As a trusted Okta implementation partner with hundreds of implementations under our belt, BeyondID has the experience and expertise needed to help customers successfully deploy and realize the benefits of Okta Identity Engine.”
The new self-service tool offers an implementation support system that provides on-demand knowledge and support for customers in migrating to OIE. Customers can set up an on-demand support agreement, determine the level of service required and begin their migration immediately.
The migration process offers a roadmap that allows organizations to understand and utilize new features, encouraging a higher adoption rate of OIE. The tool works in concert with other apps and tools to ensure seamless integration and increased flexibility.
Okta Chief Product Officer Arnab Bose said it was Okta’s mission to eradicate passwords as they continue to be linked to poor security practices and phishing attempts. “Okta Identity Engine’s passwordless authentication with phishing-resistant factors can put customers on the path towards a passwordless future,” Bose said. “Our partnership with BeyondID empowers customers to accelerate their OIE deployments and maximize their Okta investment.”
