Cranium launches AI Card to streamline compliance and trustworthiness
Artificial intelligence security and trust software firm Cranium.ai Corp. has today announced the launch of Cranium AI Card, a tool designed to help organizations gather and share information about the trustworthiness and compliance of their AI models.
AI Card has been designed to address issues of trustworthiness, security and regulatory compliance associated with AI models. The tool offers a transparent and easy-to-use interface that allows organizations to visualize and monitor the risk profiles of their AI applications across the entire supply chain.
The tool maps out potential vulnerabilities and threats while allowing for real-time updates and customized security benchmarks for each provider. In doing so, the tool provides a bird’s-eye view of AI security and compliance across supply chains and also enables users to set up specific security benchmarks and monitoring for each vendor based on individual business and compliance needs.
Regulatory compliance is front and center with AI Card, with the tool checking that organizations are compliant with current and upcoming compliance requirements. It maps various frameworks and legislation, such as the National Institute of Standards and Technology AI Risk Management Framework and the European Union AI Act. The ability ensures that companies using AI are always one step ahead in understanding and achieving their AI compliance obligations, according to Cranium.
Another key feature of AI Card is its ability to showcase that an organization’s AI is secure and trustworthy. The ability to do is claimed to be crucial for building client and stakeholder confidence in an era where cybersecurity threats are rampant and regulatory scrutiny is intensifying. It can automatically gather and enter compliance information from data built into the platform, significantly reducing the time and effort typically associated with this process.
“This market is moving quickly and enterprises are concerned about regulatory compliance pressures,” co-founder and Chief Executive Jonathan Dambrot said ahead of the release. “There’s a risk here that the AI Card was designed to address.”
Dambrot added that “with the advent of ChatGPT has come a newfound awareness within organizations of all sizes that they don’t know where their organizations are using AI, where their vendors are using AI, and whether the AI being used is trustworthy. That’s why we introduced the Cranium AI Card.”
Cranium was last in the news in April when it launched as a standalone company from KPMG Studio and raised venture capital funding from SYN Ventures Management L.P. The company is the first startup to come out of KPMG Studio, KPMG International Ltd.’s tech incubator.
