Augmented data analytics platform ConverSight raises $9M in Series A funding

Unified decision intelligence startup ConverSight.ai. Inc. said today it has closed on a $9 million early-stage round of funding.

The Series A round was led by Surface Ventures and saw participation from Techstars, Augment Ventures, Elevate Ventures and other existing investors.

ConverSight is the creator of a no-code and low-code augmented analytics platform that helps organizations to make data-driven decisions. Its generative artificial intelligence-based AI assistant Athena allows business workers to access insights in a conversational way, simply by asking questions of their company’s data.

The platform provides various functionalities, generating business intelligence and augmented and predictive analytics, as well as business planning capabilities. In terms of business intelligence, it delivers real-time, voice-activated reporting, storyboards, alerts and monitoring, making it easier and more convenient for users to uncover the insights hidden within their company’s data.

One of ConverSight’s key differentiators is its ability to combine traditional business intelligence with machine learning. Among its features is a Data and AI workbench that can be used by data scientists and engineers to configure tasks and workflows in order to make data analysis more flexible. It can also be used to customize business data for AI model development.

ConverSight co-founder and Chief Executive Ganesh Gandhieswaran said his company’s platform is uniquely able to help organizations build and adopt generative AI technologies such as large language models.

“LLMs and generative AI are quickly defining the future of business analytics,” he said. “ConverSight is easing this critical step in an organization’s digital transformation journey by delivering descriptive, predictive, and prescription interactions with data. The best part is that anyone and everyone can use it, allowing true data democratization for improving decisions across a business.”

In one of its most recent updates, ConverSight announced a ConverSight GPT release that equipped users with generative AI in the form of auto-generated executive summaries, recommendations and proactive insights, helping business users to understand any kind of data or report in the fastest way.

Surface Ventures Partner Gyan Kupar pointed out that although many companies are jumping on the generative AI bandwagon for the first time this year, ConverSight has more than five years of experience in integrating the technology into existing systems. As a previous investor in the company, he is well-placed to know. “We believe it has a critical head start in ensuring accuracy for mission-critical analytics,” he said.
